Fighting styles in Ryujin work through a two-layer system: the style you learn and the stances you equip. Each style is taught by a Style Trainer located somewhere on the map, and some styles are locked behind specific clans — the Niko Style requires a Tokita clan, Kure Traditions a Kure clan, and Raishin a Mikazuchi clan. Once learned, a style grants a base moveset, while stances modify your attacks, combos and movement; finding and equipping the right stance is often the difference between a mediocre and a dominant build. Style mastery adds a progression layer on top, letting you improve your style's effectiveness over time. Because stances were reworked in Update 1.6, the current stance meta can shift, and the community maintains the tier list on the official Trello alongside player testing.

Mastering fighting styles is the fastest way to feel the difference between a weak and a strong Ryujin build. Styles directly control your combo potential, your range and your matchup strengths, so choosing the right one for your playstyle matters more than almost any other early decision. Challenges

Fighting styles have real costs and caveats. Clan-exclusive styles are gated behind rare 1% Mythic clans, so many players can only theorycraft the Niko Style or Kure Traditions without ever rolling the family to use them. Style Trainers are spread across the map, and switching styles or stances can cost money or require travel, which slows down experimentation. Finally, the stance rework in Update 1.6 plus balance changes between generations mean a style that dominates one patch can fall off in the next — the community tier list is a snapshot, not a guarantee, and readers should verify their style's current strength in-game or on the Trello.
